Attending Regis University
At Regis University CPS, we value the time that our students put into earning their degrees. That is why we strive to make the steps leading up to attending Regis University as straightforward as we can. We have developed a list of guidelines and procedures that international students are recommended to follow when gathering information about our university, developing their financial plan to pay for their education, acquiring necessary testing and authorizations to study in the United States, and completing the admissions process at Regis University.
Guidelines for International Students
Step 1: Gather Information and Connect with a Regis University Enrollment
Counselor
Regis University CPS offers a variety of
academic programs for some of today’s most relevant professions.
Choosing the degree program that best suits your needs can often be
overwhelming at first, which is why we recommend that
you first
request a degree information packet. Additionally, you can
contact a Regis Enrollment Counselor
who can explain the various options for you and help you choose the program that is
best suited to your unique goals. Also, your Enrollment Counselor will help guide
you through the application process in order to meet the admission deadline for
your program of choice and the
start date
that you are interested in at Regis.
Step 2: Develop a Plan to Finance your Education at Regis University
As you continue to work with your Enrollment Counselor and gather information,
you should develop a plan to finance your education. We encourage you to review our
tuition, fees, and payment options
Step 3: Complete your English Language Proficiency Exam
If you are a non-native English speaker, it is necessary to meet the
English Language Requirements
set forth by the United States government, as Regis University does not have
English as a Second Language (ESL) programs available.
The minimum accepted TOEFL scores are:
- TOEFL COMPUTER total score of 213 and Essay (TWE) score of 5.0
- TOEFL INTERNET total score of 82 with minimum scores of: 24 Writing, 20 Speaking, 22 Reading, 16 Listening
We will waive the English proficiency requirements if:
- English is your first language, OR
- You are applying for an Undergraduate degree and have 30 passing credits from a U.S. college or university, OR
- You are applying for a Graduate degree and have completed a U.S. undergraduate degree, OR
- You are a Permanent Resident with at least five years of U.S. work experience

Step 4: Apply for Admission
With all of the information you’ve gathered and Regis University resources in place,
you are now ready to begin the admissions process. Start by completing your
admission application – you will complete your application
entirely online, and you can connect with your Enrollment Counselor
to aid you in completing it. Applicants (U.S. or non-U.S. citizen)
with Undergraduate credits or an Undergraduate degree from outside
the United Stated are required at a minimum to submit the
following in addition to their admission application:
- Visa: Legal copies of your Permanent Resident Card or Visa with I-94 (front and back) are required. It is your responsibility to apply to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Office if you need a new visa. Students completing their coursework entirely online will not be issued an I-20. Regis University does not assist online or non-degree seeking students with obtaining a visa.
- Credential Evaluation: International students must receive an approved evaluation of their undergraduate credits or undergraduate degree (and, if applicable, transcripts with pre-requisite courses) showing a course-by-course evaluation and equivalence from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. Send original transcripts to one of the three approved services on the list below. We need an original, official evaluation sent directly to us from the credential service. Have them mail it to Regis University, CPS Admissions, 3333 Regis Blvd., Mail code-6, Denver, CO. 80221-1099.
- English Proficiency: Applicants must have official TOEFL score reports sent directly to Regis University CPS Admissions (Regis code 4656) if their proficiency requirements have not been waived for one of the reasons listed above in Step 3.
